Adoptable Dogs
Before you fall in love with one of our dogs, have you read our ADOPTION PROCESS page?
All adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, heartworm/lyme tested, and have had routine blood work done. Additionally, all dogs are started on heartworm prevention, flea & tick prevention, and go home with any remaining medications!
DUFFY
We can’t even begin to explain how special Duffy is. He was found with a noose around his neck and taken to a local shelter. After a few weeks there, it became clear that he needed more specialized attention than the shelter could offer. It took time for the staff to get the noose off his neck, and understandably so, he was incredibly unsure of collars, leashes, and harnesses, which made caring for him in a shelter difficult. We knew that we could build Duffy's confidence in a foster home with Biggies! After 6 months, we finally gained his trust enough to slip a collar on him! He has come a long way since he came to us in September 2019, but he still has some learning to do & some confidence to gain.
Duffy is looking for a very special family. A home with experience with fearful dogs and that is willing to go slow with him and let him continue to learn to trust on his own time would be best for our boy. He would prefer his new home not be an overly busy one with people constantly in and out while he’s working on his shyness of new people. Our trainer Amanda will be there to guide you the entire time as will our amazing team! He needs a home with a fenced in yard because although he can successfully put a leash on, he’s still unsure of the idea at walking in the real world idea and feels safest in a yard of his own. Duffy has met some dogs for short positive interactions but, at this time, would prefer to be the only pet so he can really work on becoming his best self. Duffy loves love, he will snuggle up once he’s warmed up to you, which doesn’t take long at all with a handful of treats. He loves to play fetch, is extremely food motivated, and likes to learn and please you. Duffy is crate trained and working on being house broken completely but just about has it down! This sweet big block headed baby is just looking for someone to give him a chance and to understand his past was an unpleasant one. We promise if you give him a chance, he’ll be your very best friend. *Duffy comes with lifetime training through Biggies Bullies! Age: 4.5 years old Kids: 16+ Dogs: At this time, I’ve successfully coexisted with other dogs but I show no interest in wanting to play and I get very nervous when they’re overly interested in me. As Duffy learns to like his leash more we do think he can have walking and hiking dog buds. At this time he'd like to be the only pet and prefers all your attention is on him! Cats: No thanks! |
Please Note: Duffy requires having a fenced in yard. Although Duffy can now have a leash taken on and off of him he’s still too afraid to be walked on a leash. Because of this he must have a fenced yard as there no way safe way to contain him with him out a fence.

ASHER
Asher is a complete goofball with expressive ears and a wonderful smile! He originally hitched a ride to Biggies Bullies when he was having a hard time with kennel life.
He's is housebroken, crate trained, and super smart – he’s rocking basic cues and loves to learn! When this cuddle bug isn’t snuggling with his foster family, you can find him playing with toys – ropes and bones are favorites – or asking for a good romp in the yard to play fetch. Asher tends to get over excited and can become mouthy, he's working hard on overcoming this and with patience and consistency we know he will get there. Asher is a big puppy and sometimes doesn’t know his own size. He lives by the motto – "if I fits, I sits" – and his definition of fitting is sometimes questionable. Bonus: Asher is pretty good at going for runs, so if you're looking for a companion on your runs, he might be your perfect match! Age: 3 years old Kids: 16+ Dogs: I play extremely rough, I like being friends with other dogs on walks and such but I should probably be the only dog in the house. Cats: No thanks! |
BRANSON
This super handsome dude loves to love! Branson is your typical young block head - he came to us with zero manners, but is quickly picking up on how to dog!
He’s currently living with another dog in his foster home and doing really well. They go to dog daycare together, Branson loves to play all day! Branson is working on his crate skills, but once in his crate, he is an excellent boy that shows no issues. While Branson still needs to learn the basics of young dude skills, we’ve never met a sweeter guy. He takes treats extra gently, and loves to snug up close when he’s tired from his busy days. He’d love a home with another playful adult dog, and someone who just may let him sleep in bed at night too. Age: 1 year Dogs: Heck yes! I love to party. I love going to dog daycare, but please no small fluffy dogs. Cats: No thanks Kids: Im working on my not jumping on humans, I have no idea how giant I am, kids 16 and up please! |
HAYDEN
This wild child is Hayden, aka Hays. Hays found herself as a stray in a Chicago and made her way onto their animal control page - we saw those crazy blue eyes of hers & just couldn’t say no!
Hayden is still coming out of her shell, but is a total sweetheart. She can be a little slow to warm up to strangers, but is getting braver by the day! It's pretty obvious that she didn't get much (or any) training before coming to us, but she's been working really hard on being her best self. While in foster, Hays is working on crate training, leash skills, and house breaking. Hayden is looking for a family who understands she just needs some patience, routine, enrichment, and lots of exercise! Requirements: I have a lot of energy, so a single daily walk is not enough for me. I’m looking for an active family! You'll get bonus points if you have husky or shepherd experience! Age: 11 months Dogs: Heck yes! I love to party. Cats: Nope, no. Kids: I'm tall & clumsy, so 12 or older |
